It could even be fun. But first you have to be accepted. To complete this How-To you will need: Youth A clean bill of health Height A college degree A commitment to donate weekly for six months Step 1: Check your credentials See if you meet the basic credentials for applying. You must be between 18 and 35 (some sperm banks accept older donors); at least 5′ 11″ tall; in excellent health; have no family history of genetic diseases; and be drug-free. Tip: Donors need not apply unless they know their biological parents’ medical history. Step 2: Find a sperm bank Find a sperm bank near you, via the Internet or by asking your doctor. Step 3: Get an application Call and request an application. You will receive a lengthy questionnaire that asks about your sexual preferences; drug, alcohol, and tobacco habits; educational and professional backgrounds; hobbies; athletic and musical abilities; family diseases; et cetera.
